About Kerala Excise Department: Excise Department is one of the oldest Departments in the State and it contributes a major share of the State Revenue. After the formation of the State of Kerala, it was noticed that different Abkari Acts were in force in different parts of the State, namely; Travancore Abkari Act for Travancore, Cochin Abkari Act for Cochin, Madras Abkari Act for Malabar. The existence of the different Acts created many practical difficulties and a unified Act for the whole state became necessary. 

Excise Driver Job Vacancy Details

Excise Department officially released the following vacancy details with their recent recruitment notification 2021.  They invite various vacancies in all the districts of Kerala. At present, the details of vacancies have not been published in the notification issued by the Kerala Public Service Commission. The rank list prepared under this notification shall be valid for a minimum of one year and a maximum of three years from the effective date. However, if a new rank list is published for the post after one year, the rank list prepared under this notification will not be effective from that date. Recruitment will be made from this rank list to further known vacancies while the rank list is in force. Excise Driver Recruitment 2021 - Educational Qualifications

• Must have passed SSLC or equivalent examination 
• Heavy Goods & Heavy Passenger motor vehicles must have a valid driving license and driver's badge valid for 3 years.

Physical Fitness:

• Must be at least 165 cm tall.
• Must have a chest of 83 cm. Must be able to expand four centimeters.
• The minimum height limit for SC / ST is 160 cm
• Must have excellent eyesight

Salary Details

If a Kerala Excise Department driver is selected for a vacancy through the Kerala Public Service Commission, he will get a compensation of Rs 19,000 to Rs 43,600 every month. Remember that in addition to salary, Kerala Government employees will get all the benefits like PF, bonus.
